For me it depends on who you ask. My husband, who is not tattooed, thinks they are a bit trashy

on women, but I already had two when we got together and they were in places easily covered. But I went a year ago, took him and our daughter to get my third tattoo, and I decided to have it put on my left forearm where it would be seen by everyone except when I wear a long sleeved shirt. I got a fairy, that by the way, my daughter picked out and I had her name incorporated with it. My husband didn't approve but it was what I wanted for mother's day.

I still get hell sometimes about it from him but I think underneath he really wishes he was "man" enough to get one himself. I'm going next week to get my fourth, one for my step daughter on the same arm but different spot, and he's already hinted that I should just go ahead and get a sleeve...

I've given it some consideration as I want two done for my grandparents...Hmmm...Maybe I'll get him in that tattoo artist's chair yet...
